Red-hot run has given Blackhawks the edge in Stanley Cup odds

USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Blackhawks won their team record, 12th consecutive game Tuesday night and at least one sportsbook has taken notice, making Chicago the standalone favorite to win this season’s Stanley Cup.

According to the Westgate LV Superbook, the Blackhawks are now the 9-2 favorites to hoist the Cup at season’s end, ahead of the Washington Capitals at 5/1, the Los Angeles Kings at 8/1 and the Dallas Star, Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers all at 10/1.

Chicago now leads the Central Division and the Western Conference with 68 points, five ahead of the Stars, thanks to their unreal hot streak.

They only stat that could hold bettors back is the fact that no team has won back-to-back Stanley Cup since the Detriot Red Wings in 1997 and 1998. Check out the complete list of Stanley Cups odds below.
