can be hard to envision any of the teams within getting
majority of the action in a game. So it should come to no
surprise that the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers are
seeing plenty of two way action.
“Currently, we have about 63 percent of our wagers on the
Saints,” John Lester, the lines manager from
Bookmaker.eu tells Covers. “The Saints are one
of the biggest public teams and that group saw them destroy a
good Green Bay squad last Sunday night. We don’t expect a lot
of square money on the dog.”
However, the Panthers are seeing some sharp action which has
amounted to 60 percent of the bets per Lester.
When you combine the Saints, one of the top over teams in the
NFL (6-1 O/U), with the trend of Thursday night games going
over you can guess where the public is going.
“For the total, almost 64 percent of the action is on the
over, which feels a little low considering it’s a primetime
game,” Lester explains. “For the total, I wouldn’t be
surprised if it crept toward 50 as kickoff approaches.”
