US PRESSWIRE

Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a slight tear in his calf muscle in addition to it being significantly strained sources have told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and the news has already caused the betting line to move.

The line, which has held around Green Bay -6 all week, can already be found at -5.5 at most books, including GTbets.

“Late in the afternoon today, we took a small bunch of sharp bets come in on Dallas, buying the line of +6 up to +7, right around the time of the Rodgers injury announcement,” a line manager with GTbets told Covers.

“As you would expect, their line, along with most of the industry, then moved down to Green Bay -5.5. It would seem that bettors have lost confidence in Green Bay.”

The injury is not expected to keep Rodgers from playing in Sunday’s Divisional Round playoff game versus the Dallas Cowboys, but it could impact his mobility and effectiveness.

Be sure to keep an eye on the line at our Live Odds page heading into Sunday.
