The OddsShark Super Computer is coming off its worst week of the season with a 1-3-1 record in the Super Contest.
The Super Computer has managed to stay above the .500 point thanks to some solid picks leading into Week 5, but a big Week 6 is needed to catch up in the Team OddsShark contest.
Jets -6 at Home to Redskins
A dominant New York Jets defense who’s coming off a bye week gets to face off against a struggling quarterback in Kirk Cousins. Only one team has allowed fewer yards per game than the Jets this season, plus New York will be getting Sheldon Richardson back in the lineup after he was suspended for the first four games this season.
Cousins has been inconsistent for the Redskins this season, alternating between games with no interceptions and games with two interceptions.
Vikings -4 at Home to Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs will begin life in the post-Jamaal Charles era Sunday on Sunday but will be in tough against the up-and-coming Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings will have some fresh legs coming off their bye week and will be aiming to go a perfect 3-0 SU and ATS at home. Kansas City, losers of four straight heading into the contest, are just 1-4 ATS on the season with Charles, meaning replacement backs Knile Davis and Charcandrick West have an uphill battle ahead of them to cover this spread.
Eagles -4.5 at Home to Giants
Coming off a 39-point performance in a Week 5 win vs the Saints, the Eagles will hope to continue their run of success vs the Giants. In their past 14 meetings with the Giants, Philly is 11-3 SU and ATS. Although they’ve struggled out of the gate, the Eagles have won 11 out of their last 15 home games and will try to extend a streak that has seen the Giants lose their past three Monday Night football games.
Cardinals -3 at Steelers
The Arizona Cardinals have an average point differential of +20.0 points per game. The Cards also lead the league in interceptions, while placing in the top third of the NFL in rushing defense.
Assuming that the Cardinals can continue playing good rush defense, that will force the Steelers to rely on Michael Vick to try to keep them in the game. If the Steelers get behind and need Vick to sling the ball all over the field, then you should expect the Cardinals to extend their league lead in interceptions.
Jaguars as a Pick’em at Home to Texans
Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles is coming off the best statistical game of his young career when he tossed four touchdown passes against the Tampa Bay Bucs. So far this season Bortles has thrown 10 touchdowns, which is just one shy of what he threw in his entire rookie season.
The Texans are coming off of a game where their defense was unable to stop a 40-year old quarterback who was in the hospital less than 72 hours before. If that was the case last week, what do you think a young quarterback on the upswing of his career will do to the Texans?
