So much for a fast finish. The Odds – VSB
computer was 8-8 ATS overall in Week 16 but we picked five losers for the Westgate Super Contest.
On the bright side, two Team Odds – VSB
members – Nick Kostos and Kelly Stewart – went 5-0 for the second straight week, leaving them in the running for the $15,000 for the final three weeks of the season.
We go with all dogs in Week 17 to salvage some pride. [ Watch for the latest Week 17 dog lines at Bodog ]
Eagles +2.5 at Giants – computer says 29-22 Philly
Philly faltered and will miss the playoffs so this game is just for pride. They are 10-3 SU and ATS vs. the Giants, who are playing better of late.
The Eagles have the better team, but who will play and will they care?
Rams +11.5 at Seattle – computer says 30-23 Seahawks
This line opened at 14.5 points but has been bet down and the Westgate contest set it at +11.5. The Rams also faltered after showing progress while the Seahawks are due for a regression after several weeks of dominant play.
Rams are 4-1 ATS past five vs. Seattle.
Jaguars +9.5 at Houston – computer says 25-16 Texans
Houston is in must-win mode and needs help. The Jags can cover and still succeed in losing for draft-pick reasons.
We like to fade must-win favorites. The Texans lost outright past two games as double-digit favorites (both in 2013). The Jags are 7-3 ATS in 10 recent divisional road games.
Lions +7.5 at Green Bay – computer says 33-26 Packers
The Lions have lost 23 straight at Lambeau. The Packers have won seven straight at home and are dominant in divisional home games.
But the Lions are tough and sneak a cover here.
Arizona +6 at San Francisco – computer says 19-15 Cardinals
Not sure about this upset call, but the Niners are a mystery in how they might respond to the possible final game for Coach Harbaugh. The Cardinals are 7-3-1 ATS last 11 road games (7-4 SU) while the 49ers are 1-8 ATS last nine home games (5-4 SU).
