The unbeaten Arizona Cardinals are not only 3-0 straight-up this season but also a perfect 3-0 against the spread.
Contestants in the 2015 SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook have taken notice, making the Cardinals (-7) the top Week 4 consensus pick, as they were selected 573 times (33 percent) among the 1,727 entries overall.
Arizona hosts the St. Louis Rams (1-2) in an NFC West matchup on Sunday.
Panthers Also Popular Week 4 Contest Play
The undefeated Carolina Panthers (-3) were picked on 542 entries (31 percent) and are the second-most popular NFL consensus play visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2).
The Panthers set a SuperContest record last week, getting selected 713 times as 4.5-point home favorites against the New Orleans Saints. Carolina won that game 27-22 with New Orleans sitting quarterback Drew Brees due to a shoulder injury.
His backup Luke McCown got the start and bobbled the ball as the holder on the extra-point attempt after the game’s final touchdown, leading to a failed conversion and allowing the cover. The Bucs have lost 10 straight home games, going 2-8 ATS during that stretch.
Neither the Cardinals nor the Panthers were the top pick of Team OddsShark though. Instead, the Houston Texans (+6) were selected by 11 of the 21 group members as they visit the Atlanta Falcons (3-0).
Houston (1-2) is hoping to have All-Pro running back Arian Foster on the field for the first time this season after missing the first three games with a groin injury.
The Falcons boast one of the NFL’s top offenses, averaging nearly 30 points per game. But they have also given up a league-high six rushing touchdowns.
Team OddsShark co-leader David Fucillo (12-3) was in the minority, selecting Atlanta as one his five NFL picks along with the Washington Redskins (+3), Cincinnati Bengals (-4), Denver Broncos (-6.5) and Seattle Seahawks (-10).
Fucillo & Fowler Sit Tied Atop Leaderboard
Fucillo is tied atop the group leaderboard with Ryan Fowler, who has both top consensus picks in Arizona and Carolina, plus Seattle, the Jacksonville Jaguars (+9) and Green Bay Packers (-8).
The overall leader of the SuperContest through the first three weeks is The Right Reasons with a record of 14-1 while two others are tied for second at 13-2-1.
Fucillo and Fowler are tied for 14th, and the Top 50 will be paid out at the end of the season.
