SuperContest Team OS Week 10 Review

A 10-6 upset win by the Houston Texans over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football may have seemed really boring for viewers tuning into the final NFL game of Week 10.

However, it turned out to be pretty exciting for five members of Team OddsShark who picked the Texans to cover 10.5 points in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

Leading the way was Nick Kostos, who went 4-1 for the fifth consecutive week to improve to 32-18 and move within one point of leader David Fucillo in the group standings.

Fucillo was actually on the other side and backed the previously unbeaten Bengals, suffering his first losing week of the season at 2-3 to fall to 33-17.

Both Kostos and Fucillo are currently ranked in the Top 50 overall as well, with the SuperContest totaling a record number of entries this year (1,727).

The winner will take home $906,675 based on each contestant paying $1,500 to enter the largest football handicapping contest in the world. More than $2.5 million will be paid out to the Top 50.

But Kostos was not the only Team OddsShark member to pick up a point on Houston. Joining him on that MNF winner were Ryan Fowler, Todd Fuhrman, David Kaplan and Randall the Handle. Unfortunately for Fowler, he still could not avoid his third straight 2-3 week to drop into a tie for fourth place in the group with Pete Prisco.

Joe Ostrowski did not have a pick on the game, but he went 4-1 to claim sole possession of third. Fuhrman and Randall the Handle also each went 4-1, although that was not good enough for the latter to escape the cellar with a 21-29 record.

Fuhrman, who finished first in the group last year, continued his rise up the Team OddsShark Standings, moving to 10th out of 21 members after residing in last place the first few weeks.

He has had only one losing week in the past six following a disappointing 6-14 start. Kostos also started slowly in the first month, going 9-11 before turning things around with the first of six winning weeks in a row.
