The Detroit Lions kept Team OddsShark co-leaders David Fucillo of SB Nation and Ryan Fowler of FOX Sports from both going 4-1 in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook for the fourth consecutive week.
The Lions may have lost to the Seattle Seahawks 13-10 in the Week 4 Monday Night Football game, but they covered the spread as 10-point road underdogs on the SuperContest Card when Russell Wilson’s fourth-quarter fumble was recovered and returned for a defensive touchdown.
Fucillo and Fowler still each went 3-2 for their fourth straight winning week and moved to 15-5 in the SuperContest, just three points behind overall leader The Right Reasons (18-2)
No Team OddsShark group members went 5-0 in Week 4, but three were 4-1, including Aaron Nagler of CheeseheadTV, Rob Pizzola of The Score and Pete Prisco of CBS Sports. Nagler and Pizzola both moved into a tie for fourth place in the group standings with Matt Ufford of SB Nation and David Kaplan of Comcast Sports.
Ufford went 2-3 after going 5-0 the previous week to fall out of third place while Kaplan went 3-2. Clay Travis of FOX Sports also went 5-0 in Week 3 and is now in sole possession of third place following his third 3-2 performance.
ROUNDING OUT THE WEEK 4 CONTEST RESULTS
Unfortunately, Week 4 was a rough one for nine group members who picked more losers than winners, with Ben Watanabe of NESN, Ben Eckstein of America’s Line and 2014 Mini Contest winner Kelly Stewart (aka kellyinvegas) all going 1-4.
Stewart suffered her third losing week in a row after kicking off the 2015 SuperContest by going 5-0. She won the Mini Contest last year with a 14-1 mark over the past three weeks.
But the Odds – VSB
Super Computer has picked more winners than losers in each of the last three weeks after going 3-2 in Week 4. The Super Computer had winners with the Cincinnati Bengals (-4), Minnesota Vikings (+6.5) and Atlanta Falcons (-6) and losers with the Buffalo Bills (+5) and Arizona Cardinals (-7), who were the top consensus pick in Week 4.
The Computer is currently tied for eighth place in the Team OddsShark SuperContest Standings with Prisco, Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead and Joe Ostrowski of 670 The Score in Chicago, who has gone 3-2 every week so far.
