Tennis Betting: 2014 Wimbledon Odds

Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Maria Sharapova, and Serena Williams are all out as Wimbledon reaches its semifinal round on Thursday, but men’s top seed Novak Djokovic is still alive at the major tournament and sits as a big favorite on the Wimbledon odds for his semifinal matchup.

Djokovic is the -400 favorite at Bodog to beat Grigor Dimitrov in the Wimbledon semifinals, with Dimitrov a +300 underdog. Top-seeded Djokovic is coming off a five-set win over No. 26 Marin Cilic, while No. 11 Dimitrov upset No. 3 Murray in his quarterfinal match in just three sets.

In the other men’s semifinal it’s No. 4 Roger Federer taking on No. 8 Milos Raonic. Federer knocked off No. 5 Stan Wawrinka in four sets in the quarterfinals, with Raonic using four sets to get past unseeded Nick Kyrgios last round.

Over in the women’s draw the top remaing seed is No. 3 Simona Halep, who is coming off a straight sets win over No. 9 Sabine Lisicki in the quarterfinals. Halep will face No. 13 Eugenie Bouchard in the semifinals, after Bouchard got past No. 9 Angelique Kerber in straight sets in the quarterfinals. Halep is the -150 favorite over Bouchard (+125) at Bodog.

The other women’s semifinal has No. 23 Lucie Safarova taking on No. 6 Petra Kvitova, with Kvitova the -260 favorite at Bodog and Safarova the +210 underdog. Kvitova is coming off a straight sets win over unseeded Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in the quarterfinals, while Safarova got past No. 22 Ekaterina Makarova in straight sets.

The updated odds to win Wimbledon for the women’s draw at Bodog have Kvitova at 13/8, Halep at 9/4, Bouchard at 5/2, and Safarova at 8/1.

Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova are coming off major victories at the French Open, but it’s Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams who are listed as the favorites on the 2014 odds to win Wimbledon at the sportsbooks with the tournament set to begin on June 23.

Djokovic lost to Nadal in the final of the French Open, but he’s the 7/4 favorite on the Wimbledon odds at Bodog. Andy Murray is then at 7/2 on those tennis betting lines, with Nadal at 4/1, and Roger Federer at 11/2. Murray lost in the semifinals to Nadal at the French Open, while Federer was upset in the fourth round of that tournament by Ernests Gulbis – who is back at 50/1 on the Wimbledon betting lines.

Murray won Wimbledon last year, with Federer winning in 2012, Djokovic winning in 2011, and Nadal winning in 2010.

Over in the women’s draw it’s Serena Williams sitting as the 3/2 favorite at Bodog on the odds to win Wimbledon, with Maria Sharapova second on those betting lines at 6/1. Sharapova is coming off that French Open title, while Williams was knocked out by Garbine Muguruza in the second round at Roland Garros.

Petra Kvitova is then at 10/1 on the 2014 Wimbledon odds at Bodog, with Li Na at 12/1, and Simona Halep at 14/1; Halep lost to Sharapova in the French Open final. Agnieszka Radwanska, Victoria Azarenka, and Eugenie Bouchard are all at 16/1; Bouchard was knocked out by Sharapova in the French Open semifinals
