Think twice before betting Kershaw and the Dodgers in Game 4

USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers send Clayton Kershaw to the mound for tonight’s must win Game 4 at Citi Field against the New York Mets and are currently -151 road favorites.

But maybe you should think twice about backing the Dodgers and Kershaw in tonight’s big game, as Kershaw is in a serious postseason slump.

Kershaw has lost five consecutive playoff starts dating back to 2013, pitching to a 6.06 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in those games. He gave up three earned runs on four hits and four walks back in Game 1’s 3-1.

The Mets counter with rookie Steven Matz, who is making his playoff debut. Matz went 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA in six starts this season.
