Michigan State coach Tom Izzo’s contract has been extended through the 2020-21 season.

MSU’s Board of Trustees voted on Wednesday to extend the contracts of Izzo and school AD Mark Hollis, in addition to the men’s hockey and women’s basketball coaches. Izzo’s new deal expires on June 30, 2021. His most recent contract paid him a reported $3.5 million, according to USA Today.

Izzo is five wins away from 500 for his career. He’s been at Michigan State the entirety of his coaching career, becoming head coach in 1995.

In March he took Michigan State to a seventh Final Four in his tenure with the program.

MSU is ranked 11th in CBSSports.com’s offseason Top 25 (and one).
