The Indianapolis Colts had a tough time getting through the Baltimore Ravens in week 5; Turnovers were the biggest story in this matchup for both teams as they combined for seven total. Andrew Luck had two interceptions in the first half though was able to pick up his game in the second finishing off with 312 yards and 2 Touchdown (one rushing TD). Although the Ravens defense did well against Luck, the Colts quarterback was able to get all his receivers’ part of the game allowing him to leave Indianapolis with a 20-13 victory, bringing their record to 3-2. Colts wide receiver, TY Hilton caught for 90 yards, Reggie Wayne for 77 yards and rookie tight end Dwayne Allen, who seems to be one of Luck’s favorite targets, went for 59 yards and a TD. Also, give credit to the Colts defense stopping Joe Flacco and his offense for only allowing one touchdown. Come Thursday Night, this fired-up Colts team will be facing a similar defense coming from the Texans; though this time, they are on the road in Houston. Expect similar numbers from Andrew Luck, the offense and the defense; unless it becomes another 6th straight Thursday Night blowout.
The Houston Texans suffered a tough loss in week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys on the road. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was not successful in his aerial passing and only threw for 154 yards. However, it was running back Arian Foster who brought his A-game against the Cowboys defense. The veteran Texan RB ran for 157 yards and two TDs. Long-time Texans wide receiver, Andre Johnson, still hasn’t picked up his game due to injuries and only caught for 58 yards last Sunday; Johnson has not yet scored a TD this season. This Thursday, it doesn’t get any easier for Johnson and 3-2 Texans as they face their division rivals the Colts; the Colts defense has given up 2nd fewest yards and point to wide receivers so don’t expect Johnson to get his first TD of the season on Thursday Night. The Winner here will take control of that top spot in the division.

The odds tables have opened Indianapolis as favorites coming into Thursday night’s game with a -2 ½ spread. A trend that everyone should consider is the “Thursday Night trend”; so far there has been 5 consecutive Thursday Night blowout, can there be a sixth? Our team believes that if there is a blowout the Indianapolis Colts will indeed do it on the road. Regardless, Andrew Luck will drive his Colts team to a victory. For that reason, our free sports pick would have to be Indianapolis Colts -2 ½ provided by BetOnline .
