Welcome to Vegas Sports Betting Detroit Lions season preview where we will discuss the odds of them winning the Super bowl offered by the best online sportsbooks.
The Detroit Lions had a devastating season last year as they went 7-9; they had a somewhat good year however choked towards the end of the season as they lost their last four which makes us at vegas sports betting believe that there is hope for this team. Their team has not changed much since last year except for a couple of key acquisitions that can be beneficial for their offense. During the off-season, the Detroit offense was able to acquire wide receiver Golden Tate originally from the Seattle Seahawks who had a tremendous season last year in helping out the team getting that SuperBowl trophy; he is set to be in the 2nd wide receiver slot with Calvin Johnson on that top spot and Kevin Ogletree on the third slot. This new acquisition will give quarterback Matthew Stafford a good target to through to and just exactly what he needs. They also drafted tight end Eric Ebron from UNC; it will be exciting to see how he will fit in with this offensive mix. They have also stuck with RB Reggie Bush for their running game; last season, Bush showed that he can be good on both the running and receiving side of the offense. As for the defense, it has not changed at all. My only suggestions for this defense is to try avoiding getting into penalty trouble as they struggled in that area last season; especially defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh who has to learn to control his temper and stay out of trouble. In light of all this, newly named head coach Jim Caldwell has a solid team to work with and should be able to turn this team around after what happened last season. Vegas sports betting still considers their odds of making the playoff pretty slim and Bovada sportsbook solidifies that as they are +400 to win the NFC North.
