Welcome to Vegas Sports Betting New York Jets season preview where we will further discuss the odds of them winning the division, conference and Super bowl offered by the best online sportsbooks.
Last season, the New York Jets were not able to make an impact with quarterback Geno Smith as they went 8-8 during the 2013 regular season. During free agency signing, they acquired more than they lost players; they were finally able to let go of quarterback Mark Sanchez as he was struggling throughout his last seasons with the Jets. Instead they were able to pick up Michael Vick from Philadelphia; the veteran quarterback debut his Jets career during their first pre-season matchup against the Colts and I must say he had an outstanding performance and should give head coach Rex Ryan doubts on who really should be their #1 quarterback. Also, another excellent acquisition to this offense was picking up running back Chris Johnson from the Tennessee who has the caliber to run by defenders quickly; he will be backed-up by Chris Ivory and gives the Jets an exciting running game to watch. The Jets also added wide receiver Eric Decker who is set as the leading receiver followed by Jeremy Kerley and David Nelson. WR Jacoby Ford from the Oakland Raider was also picked up and is also said to being part of that receiver mix. Furthermore, the Jets drafted rookie tight end Jace Amaro from Texas Tech and will be the starting TE for the Jets.
Their defense is pretty much looking the same as last year expect for one minor change; they lost cornerback Antonio Cromartie to the Arizona Cardinal though were quickly able to replace him with Dimitri Patterson from the Miami Dolphins. In my opinion, it is really unexpected on whether the Jets will do good this year; it will be exciting to see how they will adjust with these newly acquired faces.
