Welcome to Vegas Sports Betting Tennessee Titans season preview where we will further discuss the odds of them winning the division, conference, and Super bowl offered by the best online sportsbooks.
Like the majority of the AFC South, the Tennessee Titan also had a somewhat poor season as they went 7-9. During the off-season, the Titan got active in signing and releasing several players from their roster. They lost their top running-back in Chris Johnson. Many fans and fantasy players had high expectations from Johnson; but he didn’t not impress anyone as he totalled 1077 yards last season and played every regular season game. Rookie running back Bishop Sankey from Washington will take his place as he is set as the Titan starting RB. Furthermore, the team lost wide receiver Kenny Britt who was a big part of this Titan offense. He has been replaced by newly acquired Dexter McCluster from the Kansas City Chiefs; McCluster had a good season with the Chief last year and shows that he can be useful on both the running back and wide receiver position. When looking at quarterback Jake Lockers receiver targets this season, some may wonder if leading wide receiver Kendall Wright and 2nd slot receiver Nate Washington can get the job done; personally, it does not seem like they have much potential in their passing offense. Though, the offense was able to acquire Hollywood star Micheal Oher who will give good quarterback protection for Jake Locker.
As for their defense, they suffered a big blow in losing cornerback Alterraun Verner to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Verner was having a stunning year last season as he was able to grab five interceptions for this Titans defense. However, in return, they acquired defensive end Shaun Philips and linebacker Wesley Woodyard both from the Denver Broncos. Personally, I do not expect this Titans team to advance to the playoffs nor would I expect them to be the worst of their division.
