Virginia loses again, drops to 13th in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one)

Virginia’s Isaiah Wilkins isn’t happy during the Cavs’ loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday. (USATSI)

Virginia is 1-2 in the ACC after Saturday’s loss at Georgia Tech that followed a loss at Virginia Tech. So the Cavaliers are 5-0 against KenPom’s top 50 with wins over Villanova, West Virginia, Notre Dame, California and Ohio State. But they now also have three losses outside of the top 50 — specifically to Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and George Washington.

That’s a weird resume.

Nobody with as many good wins also has that many questionable losses.

So it’ll be interesting to see whether Virginia stabilizes or if this trend continues.

Either way, Tony Bennett’s team is 13th in the updated CBS Sports Top 25 (and one).
