Dallas Cowboys (8-4)

Week 13 Top Performers:

  • Tony Romo: 199 yards
  • Demarco Murray: 73 yards and one touchdown
  • Dez Bryant: 73 yards

Factors to consider:

  • Cowboys had a disappointing week 13 as they lost at home to their divisional rival the Philadelphia Eagles (33-10)
  • That now places the Eagles a game ahead of the Cowboys in the NFC east
  • Cowboys go on the road towards Chicago to face the Bears
  • Critical game for the Cowboys as they need a win to keep up with the entire NFC
  • Weather may play a factor for the Cowboys, depending on cold temperatures

Offensive Expectations:

  • Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense face a Bears defense that is ranked 30th in pass defense and 10th in rush defense
  • Despite those statistics, Demarco Murray will most definitely be effective on Thursday
  • Expect Romo to also be involved in passing plays with Dez Bryant who will be getting through this Bears weak secondary.

Defensive Expectations:

  • Defensively the Cowboys will cause lots to Jay Cutler who has been struggling a lot
  • Biggest Challenge: Stopping Matt Forte both on the run and the screen

Chicago Bear (5-7)

Week 13 Top Performers:

  • Jay Cutler: 280 yards and two touchdowns
  • Matt Forte: 58 yards
  • Alshon Jeffery: 71 yards and two touchdowns

Factors to consider:

  • Chicago suffered a tough 17-34 loss to the Lions in week 13 on thanksgiving
  • Bears are not completely out of the playoff race, though their chances are very slim
  • For week 14, they go back to Chicago to play at home, however the bears do not take advantage of home field as they are 2-3 at soldier field.

Offensive Expectations:

  • Jay Cutler and the Bears are up against a Cowboys defense that is ranked 22nd in total yards allowed
  • Despite playing at home, expect Cutler to struggle in the passing game
  • Cutler main target seems to be Alshon Jefferys rather than Brandon Marshall
  • Watch for Matt Forte to have a good performance

Defensive Expectations:

  • Bears secondary have been struggling this season and it doesn’t get any better for week 14 when they face a Cowboys offense that is desperate for a win
  • Expect this defense to struggling both in the pass and rush defense
  • Biggest Challenge: Keeping good coverage on the Cowboys receivers but at the same time keep an eye on Demarco Murray

Sports Prediction
According to the odds table, the Cowboys opened the lines as the favorite going into Thursdays game with a -3 ½ . Considering the circumstance and the statistics, we believe that the Cowboys should have no problem getting this victory on the road and well enough to cover the spread. That said, we recommend taking Dallas Cowboys – 3 ½  provided by BetOnline.

Sports Betting Pick:  Dallas Cowboys – 3 ½
