Duke’s Grayson Allen has a pretty impressive season rolling, and he started his afternoon by dropping 19 points in the first half at Louisville. The Cardinals were playing great, but Allen was in a zone and and I can see how that would get under your skin, as an opposing fan. Allen also welcomes contact, often seeking it out on his drives to the basket and fearlessly diving into the pile for a loose ball.
In the second half, Allen got into it with Louisville forward Jaylen Johnson. It was an aggressive attempt by both players to get the ball, and unfortunately it ended with Allen getting his lip bloodied by Johnson’s elbow, resulting in a technical foul against the Cards’ big man.
