Nebraska’s best player took a scary fall to the court in a blowout win on Saturday and had to be carted off to a nearby hospital.

Shavon Shields’ attempt to block Rutgers forward D.J. Foreman’s shot in the second half resulted in a pump fake by Foreman and then a heels-over-head flip to the court for Shields. TV broadcasters stated Shields lost consciousness immediately after the fall.

Shields left the game with 17 points; Nebraska was leading by double digits at the time of the injury. He is Cornhuskers’ best player, averaging 15.6 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Nebraska won 87-63 to improve to 13-11. Rutgers is 6-18.
