No. 23 UConn was riding its longest win streak since it won the 2014 NCAA Tournament (five games) … and then unranked, 6-6 Temple came to Hartford, Connecticut and brought the whole thing to an end in a 55-53 victory vs. the Huskies.
This after Temple lost by 27 to Houston just a few days ago.
Things are getting weird in the American Athletic Conference.
Temple’s Josh Brown sank a running jumper with 2.5 seconds remaining to break a 53-all tie and lift Fran Dunphy to the 200th win of the coach’s career at Temple.
Fran Dunphy is one of just 5 DI coaches w/ 200 wins at 2 schools and to earn at least 6 NCAA berths at each! #TUMBB pic.twitter.com/hecYgH4S1A

Sterling Gibbs missed the game’s final shot. Quenton DeCosey led the Owls with 15 points. Shonn Miller’s 18 points were a high for UConn.
The Huskies (10-4, 1-1) dropped a game approximately 30 hours after re-entering the polls following a three-week absence. Kevin Ollie’s crew will try to get right at home against Memphis on Saturday. Temple (7-6, 2-1) next goes up against East Carolina.
