Villanova just beat North Carolina in one of the greatest finishes to an NCAA Tournament national championship ever, so naturally everyone is a little charged up. On one side, there is the devastation for North Carolina, and the Crying MJ’s that followed. On the other side is absolute elation for Villanova as Kris Jenkins’ caps one of the most impressive runs in tournament history.
Villanova crushed its competition, beating March Madness opponents by more than 24 points per game before tangling with the Tar Heels in the title game. After nine ties and nine lead changes, Villanova had the ball with less than five seconds left looking to top Marcus Paige’s off-balance 3-pointer and keep the game from going to overtime.
Ryan Arcidiacono flipped the ball to Kris Jenkins, and the shot that followed will be remembered in NCAA Tournament history forever. The reactions only enhance the experience for Villanova fans, and you can bet the reactions are incredible.
