Heading into the final week of the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook the cream seems to have risen to the top among Team OddsShark, with six of the seven members who went 3-2 or better in Week 16 now residing in the upper half of the group standings.
Unfortunately, one of them was not the OddsShark Prediction Computer, which suffered through its first winless week of the NFL season at 0-5. Enough about that, now on to those who enjoyed winning weeks.
Kelly Stewart and Nick Kostos continued their charge for the Mini Contest prize of $15,000 awarded to the contestant with the most winners over the last three weeks by going 5-0 for the second straight time. Stewart and Kostos gave out NFL betting tips in last week’s SuperContest Smackdown video, and they translated to winning results for those who watched, including picking the Washington Redskins to upset the Philadelphia Eagles as 7.5-point home underdogs on the SuperContest card.
Stewart’s third 5-0 week over the past month moved her within one point of group leader Todd Fuhrman, who went 3-2 and maintained his spot atop the standings with a 47-33 overall record. Jason McIntyre was tied with Stewart last week and went 3-2 as well to drop into sole possession of third place. In addition, David Kaplan, turned in another strong effort at 4-1 to improve to 16-3-1 over the last four weeks and 43-36-1 overall. Only Stewart is hotter during that stretch with a 17-3 mark.
Kostos jumped over the .500 mark to 42-38 with his perfect week while Adam Kramer (4-1 in Week 16 and 39-41 overall) rounds out the top six members of the group. Rob Pizzola is the only member in the lower half who had a winning week at 4-1.
