Hopes were high in Anaheim after the Ducks finished first last season in the Western Conference, but they have been abysmal so far this season. The Ducks are tied for last in the NHL and have scored nine fewer goals than any other team in the league.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau is currently a -175 favorite to be the next coach fired in the NHL according to Bodog.
No other coach is a minus, but both the Colorado Avalanche’s Patrick Roy and the Calgary Flames’ Bob Hartley are not far behind Boudreau. The Avs are last in the Central Division with a bad tendency to lose close games early in the season. The Flames, on the other hand, have been routinely blown out with a scoring differential of -26 through 13 games.
