The Los Angeles Dodgers finally ousted Don Mattingly after his job security was frequently discussed among baseball fans and media. It seems though that the Dodgers may have already found their next manager within.
There have been numerous reports suggesting that Gabe Kapler is a lock the be at the helm of the Dodgers next season, with Bodog
pegging his as a 5/4 favorite to land the position.
Kapler spent 13 seasons in the MLB with six teams and is currently the Director of Player Development for the Dodgers.
Close behind Kapler is Dave Martinez at 5/2. The Tampa Bay Rays interviewed Martinez for their open manager position last season after Joe Maddon left with several of the team’s players endorsing him for the job. However, once Martinez did not get the job he left the team and has been the bench boss for Maddon in Chicago this season.
