Winter storm Jonas forces Virginia to move Syracuse, Wake Forest games

Tony Bennett says bundle up because winter is coming. (USATSI)

Winter storm Jonas has the mid-Atlantic and other parts of the East Coast in its grips. Blizzard warnings have been issued for the Baltimore and Washington D.C. metro areas and blizzard watches extend all the way to Philadelphia and New York City.

The ACC has taken action already for Saturday’s Virginia-Syracuse game, set for noon ET, and moved it to Sunday at 7 p.m. Unfortunately, this isn’t the best time for Virginia to get snowed on since it faces the dreaded Saturday-Monday turnaround this weekend.

Thankfully but the league has stepped in and moved Monday’s game against Wake Forest to Tuesday night (7 p.m. ET).
